1. Kickoff

Proposal and Contract
Following our discussion, you'll receive a tailored proposal for the design package we choose together. Typically, the payment structure is:
50% upfront to get the wheels turning
50% upon completion, with a 15-day grace period
2. Brand Finder
Prework
For most projects, I kick things off by sending you a concise brand personality worksheet. This helps you organize your thoughts and document key elements.
Interview
We then dive deep during the Brand Finder interview, involving key stakeholders to discuss your company's background, goals, audience, and competitors. This is where we unearth what makes your brand unique and whom it needs to resonate with.
Research
I’ll analyze both your current branding (if available) and that of your competitors to identify opportunities for distinction. Expect me to collect some reference imagery that will guide the direction of your design.
Brief
All findings are distilled into a clear brief, giving you newfound clarity about your business and setting the stage for the design phase. You'll review and approve this brief before any design work begins, ensuring everything is aligned.
3. Design
Now, I’ll craft the theme of your brand. Evaluating elements like messaging, logo, colors, and fonts together in sample layouts offers a holistic view of your brand, allowing us to refine each component to perfectly convey the right message.
Concepts are presented via a screensharing session, where I detail the research and rationale behind each decision. This reveal is always the exciting part! You'll also receive a PDF of the presentation for your records.
4. Refinement
Thanks to our thorough groundwork, initial designs typically hit the mark. However, if necessary, we'll refine the details over the next few days to perfect your branding.
5. Style Guide & Assets
I'll compile your brand style guide, an essential document that encapsulates all approved elements of your brand identity—strategy, logo, typography, color palette, icons, imagery style, and sample layouts. This guide ensures consistency across all future materials, whether created by you or your vendors.
Timeframe
Allow 3-4 weeks for a standard brand identity project. If the project includes finalized templates, packaging, or marketing materials, expect an additional 1-4 weeks.
